28/04/2017 Dero FC received a very heartwarming letter from a little eight year old girl, July Akinyi. The letter, somewhat unreadable, praised the launch of the Dero FC Think Green Initiative. She points out how strong of a team Dero FC is and how her father was part of the group involved in the clean up of Nyilima Region. The letter was described as powerful and inspiring by senior club offiials. She pens off with 'Dero are number one'.
